Mr. Emeka Ndu, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Nigeria is the Managing Director of C & I
Leasing Plc with over twenty-five years of working
experience in different Organizations. Emeka was until
the year 2000, the Chairman; Equipment Leasing Association
of Nigeria.
Emeka, in conjunction with other Nigerian institutional and
private investors started C & I Leasing in 1991. C&I Leasing
has grown to be the only listed Leasing Company on the
Nigeria Stock Exchange with a focus on
delivering value to the customer and is the leading leasing
services provider in the West African Sub-region.
Emeka holds a Bsc in Accountancy from the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka and also attended the Chief Executive’s
Programme at the Lagos Business School Lagos, Nigeria.
He is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of
Taxation(2003 to date), Vice president African Leasing
Association(2004-date), and Member Nigerian Economic Summit
Group (2001-date). In 2005, he was appointed
Chairman of the Shipping & Marine Services Sub-committee of
the NNPC National Content Development Committee.
Emeka also served as a member of the Nigeria Maritime
Authority/Indigenous Ship-owners Association of Nigeria
Joint committee on improving the Maritime Operating
Environment (2006). Subsequently, he served as
the Chairman of the Joint Committee set up by the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation and the Nigerian Maritime and
Safety Administration to promote the enforcement of local
content in the Nigerian Maritime
Sector.
Emeka is a speaker at various professional gatherings
including the World Leasing Convention in Cancun, Mexico
(May 1997). Some of these speeches include UNDERSTANDING THE
EQUIPMENT LEASING PRODUCT -
Equipment Leasing and the Oil & Gas Industry which has been
widely published in both local and international media.
