I found it most amazing that it took less than 10 days from the date of my initial inquiry to the date when a car was ready for me to collect. Indeed, I was even the one who delayed in picking up the car, having commenced my annual leave, because I had not really believed that such things could work that fast in our country. Incidentally, I had been processing a similar finance facility (house purchase) with another organization for almost one full YEAR now - and it has not yet been concluded. Dear Mrs. Cole,
I am writing this email to you as a way of thanking Benson,
my driver for the 3 weeks I recently spent working in Lagos
for Guinness Nigeria.
Benson was not only a very good driver, indeed by far the
best driver we had during our time there, but also a most
helpful and extremely honest individual.
I must say that out of all the Nigerian people we met during
our stay, Benson was the most helpful, caring and attentive.
He also never asked for anything, be it food or money !
Unlike most other people !
I would also like to state that not all your drivers were up
to Benson’s standard. I attempted to tell the younger, less
experienced drivers to listen to Benson, as he knew exactly
what the client ( myself ) required.
I do hope that you take good care of Benson in the working
environment. I would suggest to you that he is a very
valuable employee, as had it not been for Benson taking
charge of our travel arrangements – at my request – then our
whole trip and travel to and from our hotel to the National
Stadium complex to work would have been a lot more difficult
and stressful.
To sum up, Benson was extremely good at his job, and should
be seen as a very valuable asset to your company.
Please do pass on my thanks to Benson for all his help and
kindness.
